When my girls were younger, our tradition was for my husband to go out and trick-or-treat with them. I would stay home, make chili, and and out candy at our house. It was our tradition for many years.
Now I enjoy watching my grandsons!

Halloween isn’t yet big in the Netherlands, but it’s getting there. There’s a special (but small) Halloween parade for the children with their parents/grandparents or siblings. They walk by the designated houses in our community that participate in trick-or-treating. As I said, it’s nothing like Halloween in the US. But it’s fun to watch how everyone is dressed up.

I have to go to MNSSHP every year at least one time. My favorite thing is to watch the parade – seeing the headless horseman is why I spend money to go to the party!! But the entire parade is just so much fun!

When our kids were younger we would get pizza for a quick dinner. Then, I would walk with them around the neighborhood with them. When they got older, pizza continued, but I stayed home to pass out candy.
Now that we’re empty nesters, the tradition continues.
But, we have traveled to WDW and been to two of the MNSSHPs a couple of weeks before Halloween. Those were a lot of fun! The parades are fantastic, and the photos with the “Pooh” group and 7 Dwarfs are cute. I wanted a pic with Jack & Sally but my husband refused another photo. LOL -
The only Halloween I like is if I’m at Disney World or Disneyland! Otherwise, skip.

When my kids were young I loved dressing them up and taking them out Treating. I missed handing out candy but my husband would be working a 2nd shift it would be nice if it fell on a weekend then he could enjoy it with us. Since they have gotten older I enjoy handing out candy I love seeing the kids dressed up.

We’re not super big into Halloween, but we do enjoy painting pumpkins, and we trick or treat in our neighborhood. Our favorite fall tradition (before moving to FL) was going to the apple orchard, picking apples, and drinking apple cider slushes.

I love sitting on the porch, handing out the candy, seeing all the costumes and watching thd kids excitement.

I wish I could go to the Halloween Party @ Disney World every year but sadly I can’t. The MNSSHP is my favorite way to celebrate!

Going to the Oogie Boogie Bash, dressing up, riding the rides, and enjoying the park all deck out for Halloween.

Halloween is one of our family’s holiday! We celebrate all week long with scary movies marathon and a Halloween playlist!

With no kids in the age range of wanting to go out for candy and no kids in our neighborhood, our favorite way to celebrate Halloween is to go around town and see all the decorations people have up on their houses. Some are pretty simple and some to the extreme. Love them all.
