Majority of my digital scrapbooking products are used to create a digital layout. Did you know that you can also use them to print out and cut to make paper layouts, pocket pages, crafts, invitations, party supplies and more? Digital PNG and JPG files can be resized, printed, and used over and over again in the paper scrapbooking world.
CT Member Cassie is our hybrid pocket layout artist working on scrapping her Disneyland trip in a 6×8 pocket album. Cassie uses Simple Stories SN@P pocket pages, a printer, a Cricut Maker, Cricut Design Space software, cardstock paper and some adhesives to create her pocket pages. Her album is getting pretty big with all the pages she’s been creating!
First let’s take a look at several examples of the printed and cut embellishments Cassie has used. These were from Kellybell Designs collections, imported into Cricut Design Space, printed on her home printer, and then cut with a Cricut Maker machine. Check out how she’s used several journal cards, elements, word strips, and even square paper blocks.

After printing and cutting all your embellishments, now it’s time to create and decorate each individual pocket sleeve page. Cassie uses the Simple Stories SN@P 6×8 pocket sleeves. She places embellishments both inside the pockets and glues them on top of the vinyl pocket. He’s a few of her pocket layouts.

Cassie assembles all her pocket pages into a Disney binder so her girls can easily flip through the pages and relive all those magical trip memories.

Lastly, here’s one more example of seeing the printed and cut embellishment, and then the finished pocket layout. With pocket pages, you don’t always need a ton of embellishments to dress up the layout. Journal cards are perfect for documenting your story. Cassie types her journaling onto the card on her computer first before printing. The font she used is KG Like A Skyscraper font (free from DaFont HERE). I love how colorful these pages are!
