Pocket scrapbooking used to be a term for making layouts using the vinyl pocket insert sleeves. Nowadays, pocket scrapbooking has evolved across both digital and paper scrapbooking to refer to any type of layout that’s in a block style format. Layouts can be very simple with a few photos and journal cards, or more intricate with clusters of elements. Scrapbooking is all about doing it your way.
Let’s take a look at some ways my Creative Team uses a pocket format for scrapping a layout. First examples are from CT Member Tracie who uses a minimalist approach. This adorable page shows off meeing with the Disney characters dressed in their Marvel attire. Tracie used the American Caption collection. The focus is all on the photos with just a little bit of decoration in the blocks.
Here’s a 2-page Star Wars layout from Tracie. She used a journal card, paper, and snippet from the Edge Of The Galaxy collection, a Kylo Ren journal card from The Dark Side collection, along with other items from the Galaxy Adventure collection. All you need is just a few decorative elements to embellish your story.
